SAVE THE DATE, ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENT SET FOR MARCH 23

Do you have an old cell phone, laptop or printer that was replaced by a newer one during the holidays? Don’t stuff it in a drawer or box in the garage to be forgotten. Recycle it.
On March 23 from 10am – 2pm bring your unused (working or non-working) electronic devices*  to the Port Angeles Civic Field parking lot to dispose of them responsibly.
Olympic Kiwanis is partnering with SBK Recycling to provide a socially responsible solution for your unwanted electronics. They’ll either be fixed and resold by SBK Recycling or disassembled for parts. It’s recommended that personal data be wiped from
your machines. If you are unable to accomplish this on your own, rest assured, that eliminating your private data is SBKs first priority upon receiving your devices.
This recycling event is a fundraiser for Olympic Kiwanis of Port Angeles, which is dedicated to helping children in our community. Programs include support for foster families, Camp Beausite NW for individuals with disabilities, the Kids Fishing Derby at Lincoln Park, working with teens involved in the Key Club, and helping re-build the Dream Playground.
This e-recycling day is endorsed by both the Port Angeles and Clallam County Solid Waste Departments as well as Goodwill Industries, which has recently cut back on the types of electronics taken in.
Olympic Kiwanis requests a donation to support local kids while also keeping electronics out of the landfill and helping you clean out your junk drawer. Remember to mark your calendar for March 23rd, 2024. 10 AM to 2 PM.
*No Appliances, Tube TVs, Tube Monitors, Projection TVs, Batteries, Exercise Equipment.
